Dr Rintu Nath holds a doctorate in distributed computing and scheduling heuristics for High-Performance Computing (HPC). He is an expert in data acquisition systems (DAS) and has played a key role in transferring technology through academic and industry collaboration. Dr. Nath has over two decades of experience in conceptualizing, executing, and managing large-scale science and technology programs throughout the country.

As a domain expert in distributed computing, he has contributed as an expert in national-level steering committees, and executive committees in formulating policies and preparing frameworks for execution. He is one of the expert members of the National Knowledge Networks (NKN), National Supercomputing Mission, and National Language Translation Mission. Dr. Nath is an Advisory Board Member and Technical Chair of Recent Advances in Computing Sciences (RACS, Springer), and Technical Chair of Interdisciplinary Research in Technology and Management (IRTM, Taylor and Francis).

Dr Nath did B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College - Shibpur, Calcutta University;  M.Tech. in Information Technology from Central  University of Tezpur; and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Central University of Rajasthan. Dr. Nath worked with Samsung, the Centre for Electronics Design and Technology of India (CEDTI), the Electronic Research and Development Centre of India (ER&DCI), CDAC, and Vigyan Prasar. He has written over sixty research papers and articles in reputed National and International journals, edited twenty-two books, six book chapters and authored three books. He was the editor of a science magazine "Dream 2047" for over a decade. One of his books “Moments in Mathematics” is internationally acclaimed and translated in Spanish, besides in other Indian languages.
