Dr. Deep Jyoti Francis, obtained her doctoral degree from the Centre for Studies in Science Policy, Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2018. Her research, grounded in institutional economics, delved into the intricate connections between social norms, legal systems (IPR), and economic growth and development. Dr. Francis's work highlights pathways to enhance economic performance while preserving social values and encouraging innovation across diverse socio-economic contexts. Following her PhD, she contributed to a DST-NSTMIS funded project on water and clean energy technology research. For the past four years, Dr. Francis has served as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Analytics Officer at Humana, an international NGO. Her expertise includes designing theory of change and conducting multi-stakeholder impact assessments for education, livelihood, and environmental projects.
